Regional Report: Rutland Southwest Strike Ends

It took a long round of talks with teachers and the school boards of the Rutland Southwest Supervisory Union, up to 12 hours worth, with a federal mediator between them. But in the end a teacher’s strike that kept kids out of school for six days ended early yesterday morning.

Reporter Cristina Kumka of the Rutland Herald has been tracking the story, and joins us now on the line for the latest on what led to the breakthrough.
