Big news at Dartmouth College yesterday. The school announced a new president to replace Jim Yong Kim, who left earlier this year to become president of the World Bank.

Philip Hanlon is provost at the University of Michigan, and has ties to the College. For our weekly Regional Report, VPR’s Mitch Wertlieb speaks with reporter Chris Fleisher who’s been covering this story for the Valley News.
