The American Red Cross says as many as 30 Vermonters were left homeless by a fire in a 13-unit Morrisville apartment building.

The Brooklyn Street fire was reported early Monday.

There was no immediate word on injuries or the cause of the fire.

A person who answered the phone at the Morrisville Fire Department Monday said people who could provide details about the fire were still at the scene.

The Red Cross has set up a family service center to help provide services to those displaced by the fire.
