A Burlington probation and parole officer is facing a sex charge involving a female inmate.
Vermont State Police say Stephen Hoke is accused of being sexually involved with an inmate he was supervising from January to April 2008. Hoke was previously a supervisor for Addison County Probation and Parole
Police say the victim told them in December the relationship continued after her probation and she was concerned for her well being.
Hoke retired from the Department of Corrections at the end of last year. He’s been cited to appear in Addison County court in February to answer a charge of sexual exploitation of an inmate.
