Vermont Army Guard Sergeant Anita Austin of St. Albans is among those spending her deployment at Camp Phoenix in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Austin’s job isn’t for everyone. It requires a strong back and a steady hand. She’s in charge of the ammunition for the 11 military bases located around the Afghan capital.
