The U.S. Postal Service is helping people in Vermont and New Hampshire get passports to make it easier for them to travel to Canada.

The Postal Service will hold “passport fairs” Saturday at 48 post offices in Vermont and New Hampshire and will extend business hours to accept applications.

The events are planned for 25 locations in Vermont and 23 in New Hampshire.

Applicants can have their photo taken at the post office or bring one with them when turning in applications for passports or new passport ID cards.
