The Vermont State Police are going to be searching Sunset Lake today to try to find a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since Wednesday after she was dropped off to meet a friend.

Police yesterday issued an Amber Alert as part of their search for Brooke Bennett.

Police say the girl had apparently lied about her destination and was planning to meet an unknown individual with whom she had been communicating online.

Surveillance video from the store showed Brooke being dropped off at a Randolph convenience store and walking off. She has not been seen since.

Police say they have not identified the person Brooke was communicating with online, but experts are analyzing her computer.
