Police have suspended their ground search for a missing Middlebury College student after teams scoured the snow-covered campus over the weekend.

Middlebury Police Officer Vegar Boe says police will continue to search some snow piles on campus, looking for 19-year-old Nicholas Garza or any clues about what happened to him.

Garza, from Albuquerque, N.M., has been missing for nearly two weeks. He was last seen Feb. 5 at a campus social gathering.

Authorities are focusing on Garza’s activities between 11 p.m. Feb. 5 and 8 a.m. Feb. 6, trying to find anyone who might have information about his disappearance.

Police are encouraging community members to search their own yards for evidence.

Police are still receiving tips, but not as many as when they started their search.

A friend of the Garza family has set up a fund to help the student’s mother, Natalie Garza, with travel and other expenses.
