Vermont State Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Northern State Correctional Facility.
Authorities say Mitchell Hartwell, 49, was found dead in his cell at about 6:15 a.m. Monday.
Police said there were no signs of foul play, but that an autopsy was ordered and the investigation was continuing.
