Two Plymouth State University programs related to rural community development are in line to get $350,000 in federal grants.

Grants for the Center for Sustainable Rural Economics and Partners to Enable Active Rural Living were included in an appropriations bill passed by the U.S. House on Tuesday.

Congressman Paul Hodes announced the grants.

The university’s president says the funding will help maintain New Hampshire’s quality of life.

One of the grants will be used to help create an MBA program in green construction and eco-friendly business development.
