The band Phish is headed to the Northeast Kingdom this summer. The Vermont jam band plans to hold a two-day summer festival at the Newport State Airport in Coventry in mid-August. Vermont State Police issued a permit on Tuesday for the concert.

Coventry has a population of just over a thousand, with one gas station and one diner. Phish festivals draw from 50,000 to 70,000 people. Those numbers would make Coventry the largest city in Vermont for the festival weekend. The festival will be Phish’s first public outdoor appearance in Vermont since 1995.
