Senator Patrick Leahy is stepping up his efforts to persuade President Obama to sign an international treaty that bans the production, use and stockpiling of landmines.

In the past ten years, over 150 countries have signed the treaty – several nations have not – including the United States, Russia and China.

Bob Kinzel recently talked to Leahy about his new efforts, and joining the conversation was Bobby Mueller.  Mueller is head of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation.  He’s also the co-recipient of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize with Vermonter Jody Williams.
