Vermont Olympic gold medalist Hannah Kearney will be honored with a hometown parade.

Friday’s parade will start in Hanover and end in Kearney’s hometown of Norwich.

The event will start at 1 p.m. Kearney will ride a tractor from the Hanover High School to the town green in Norwich, where she is expected to speak.

Governor Jim Douglas plans to attend the event.

WMUR-TV says the parade is being organized by the town of Norwich, and its recreation department, where Kearney’s mother works.
