A Vermont truck driver involved in a fatal crash in Centre County Pennsylvania is headed back to that state to face prosecution.
Fifty-five-year-old Peter Carrara of Clarendon, agreed yesterday in a Vermont court to face charges of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and other offenses.
A prosecutor says Carrara‘s actions leading to the May crash that killed 57-year-old Bonnie Weaver as “a recipe for disaster.”
Prosecutors say Carrara was driving a 50,000-pound truck hauling granite tombstones while methamphetamines were in his system.
