A panel of lawmakers and state officials will take testimony this afternoon from people concerned about the future of mental health and substance abuse services in Vermont.

Officials expect to get a wide range of comments about the condition of the mental health system, more than a year after Tropical Storm Irene forced the Vermont state hospital to close.

The hearing will be held at the Montpelier Elks Lodge Wednesday afternoon.
