Obama enlists women’s help, Clinton opens another Vt. office

The Vermont campaigns of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are gearing up for the final push to next Tuesday’s primary.

The Obama campaign yesterday announced it was being supported by a number of prominent Vermont women who are part of the Vermont Women for Barack Obama Leadership Committee.

At the same time, the Clinton campaign announced it had won the support of a number of prominent Vermonters who had joined her state steering committee.

Kathy Hoyt of Norwich says Obama is restoring excitement to politics and making people believe change is possible.

Vermont House majority leader Carolyn Partridge says Clinton offers the perfect blend of strength, experience and passion needed to move this country forward.
