Obama continues to lead in fundraising in Vermont

Barack Obama is winning the presidential race in Vermont in terms of fundraising.

According to new campaign finance reports, the Illinois senator raised $400,904 in Vermont through December, including $66,112 in the last three months of last year.

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, who is battling Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination, collected $47,500 in 2007, including $15,988 in the last quarter.

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani raised the most in Vermont among the Republican candidates, with $54,400 in 2007, $27,250 of which came in the last three months of last year.

Giuliani has since dropped out and endorsed Arizona Sen. John McCain.
