Volunteers are lending a hand to help clean up Vermont state parks affected by flooding along Lake Champlain.

Dozens of Ben & Jerry’s employees are expected to turn out today at Sand Bar State Park in Milton, which was swamped by floodwaters in April and May when the lake reached historic levels.

In all, six state parks around the lake had delayed openings because of flooding.

Five will open for the first time this year this weekend, in time for the Fourth of July. The sixth opened Father’s Day weekend.
