(Host) A Norwich University graduate and Navy SEAL was among the 30 American troops who died when their helicopter was shot down Saturday morning over Afghanistan.
Brian Bill was one of the nearly two dozen SEALS aboard the helicopter.
Bill graduated from Norwich in 2001. The university describes him as a "distinguished Navy SEAL and an extraordinary man."
A memorial is planned on the Northfield campus in Springfield when students return for the fall semester.
