Vermont State Police say no charges will be filed in the death of a 2-year-old boy who was accidentally shot at his home in Lowell.

Police say Enoch Beckwith was shot in the chest last week with a .22 caliber rifle at his home on Potter Road. Enoch was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Thursday that another child was playing with the gun in a downstairs bedroom and accidentally shot Enoch while Enoch’s mother was upstairs with three other children. Authorities have concluded that the shooting was an accident and no one in the family will be charged.
