State police are investigating a bizarre case that they’re describing as a "murder for hire plot."
It involves two New Mexico men who had befriended a Vermont man who is serving a life sentence in a New Mexico prison.
One of the men from New Mexico was arrested November 19th at the Highgate Springs border crossing. The other was arrested the next day in Albany, New York.
They’re accused of intending to target two people in the St. Albans area.
