Driving with Fluffy or Fido on your lap would be against the law under a bill being drafted for the next New Hampshire Legislature.
Hollis Republican Richard Drisko’s plan would make it a violation to have a pet on your lap when you’re driving. It also includes a ban on cell phone use and text messaging and requires the use of headlights when it’s raining.
Drisko says he knows the cell phone ban has been a tough cell in New Hampshire, but says it’s become more common in other states. He would not be opposed to handsfree cell phone use.
