A new law that will bolster New Hampshire’s efforts to combat mosquito-borne illnesses such as Eastern Equine Encephalitis and West Nile Virus was celebrated at the State House.

The law creates an interagency task force to continue address Eastern Equine Encephalitis and West Nile Virus and expands local prevention activities that can receive matching funds from the state.

Task force members include local public health officers, state public health officials and representatives from the state departments of Education and Fish and Game.
