One man is dead and another critically injured after a gunman open fired in a Montreal theater late last night, during a political victory speech. Republican gubernatorial candidate Randy Brock says he’s very disappointed that Governor Peter Shumlin will agree to only five debates during their fall campaign. Shumlin says he’s too busy being governor to participate in any additional debates and he argues that five issue-oriented debates will give voters a clear picture about the priorities of each candidate. The Shumlin Administration says it’s optimistic that it will meet its goal of having full broadband coverage in every part of the state by the end of next year.
