The state has received a new $100 million federal grant to help put a consumer based health care exchange in place over the next 12 months. Lawmakers hope a new approach to getting more Vermont school districts to merge will help augment an earlier effort to cut down on the number of school boards. Around 150 volunteers marked the anniversary of the September 11^th terrorist attacks in true Vermont fashion Tuesday. They helped cut, stack and deliver firewood to needy families in Lamoille County.
