In these tough economic times, cities and towns across the country are taking drastic measures to make ends meet. But state officials in Vermont say the dire financial situation facing municipalities elsewhere isn’t so dire here. Despite years of work and millions of dollars spent, officials say the systems designed to computerized Vermonters’ health records are not fully compatible and the information they produce is not always accurate. A legislative oversight committee is asking tough questions.
