In a rare legal proceeding, the state Supreme Court is to hear arguments that the Vermont Yankee nuclear plant is continuing to run in violation of a 2002 order by the Public Service Board. The Vermont Math Teacher of the Year for 2010 is among those who could lose their jobs or see their hours cut at the Woodstock Union Middle and High Schools next year.  State and local police are searching for 63 illegal drug suspects in southwestern Vermont in what police are describing as one of the largest such operations in the state’s history.
