State police are warning drivers of black ice this morning. Authorities say accumulating ice and slush has made roads dangerous in the Franklin County area and that black ice is a danger in Chittenden County. The Vermont Senate today/Tuesday is turning to end-of-life choices. Senators will debate a bill that would give patients with less than six months to live the choice to end their lives with doctor-prescribed drugs. Vermont has emerged as a key battleground in the national debate over the issue.  The Shumlin administration has agreed to restore some of the cuts it made to reimbursement rates for Medicaid mental health providers. The providers argued that Vermont’s mental health system could be destabilized if the cuts were allowed to stand.
