More than a dozen property owners have received word from FEMA   that the federal government will buy out their homes that were destroyed by Tropical Storm Irene; The State Board of Education has launched its national search for Vermont’s first Secretary of Education, and  commentator Rich Nadworny took a vacation, only to realize there’s no place like home.
