Rutland officials have unanimously approved a ban on medical marijuana dispensaries in the city. With just five weeks to go before election day the race for State Treasurer is heating up, and getting personal. Two Vermont men are facing felony charges that they caused more than $100,000 damage by spray painting elaborate images on railroad cars and concrete overpasses in the White River Junction area. Vermont writers are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Banned Books Week, an annual event sponsored by the American Library Association aimed at highlighting the value of free and open access to information.
