It now appears Vermont lawmakers won’t vote on how to finance a single payer health care system until the 2015 session. The Shumlin Administration says the plan shouldn’t be rushed through the Legislature but GOP gubernatorial candidate Randy Brock thinks the delay is motivated by political considerations. The South Burlington School Board has unanimously approved a resolution opposing the location of a methadone clinic near the city’s schools. The prosecution has rested in the case of a 19-year-old woman who’s charged with hitting a pedestrian with her car while texting and driving.
