Workers from the troubled Vermont Veterans Home have taken to the streets of Bennington. They hope to enlist community support for what they see as a fight to save the state-run nursing facility. Some physicians in private practices say the Green Mountain Care Board’s attempt to regulate prices could put them out of business. The Vermont Telecommunications Authority has been awarded a $1.6 million dollar federal grant to expand cell and internet service in areas hit by flooding in 2011.
