Governor Peter Shumlin and weather officials say they don’t expect Hurricane Sandy to be as bad in Vermont as Tropical Storm Irene was a year ago. Hurricane Sandy has been an unwelcome reminder for many Vermonters of the storm named Irene that devastated many parts of the state. The election is still next week, and as it approaches, the Vermont secretary of state’s office is offering information online about the statewide candidates.
