A jury has found that a Rutland hospital was not negligent in the death of a 75-year-old patient. Many communities around Vermont are planning events for next month to mark the one-year anniversary of the Tropical Storm Irene floods. But for many individuals impacted by the disaster, the response is still on-going. The International Joint Commission has been asked to develop a study into the causes and impacts of severe flooding on Lake Champlain and the Richelieu River last spring.
