Plans are coming together to lure two colleges to a new home in downtown Brattleboro. Officials are looking at two possible sites, including the historic Brooks House on Main Street, which was gutted by fire more than a year ago. Agency of Natural Resources Secretary Deb Markowitz says she can’t wait to have a smart meter installed in her home.  A 56-year-old New Hampshire man has died in a highway accident in Vermont in which the driver of the second vehicle fled the accident scene.
