The Vermont State Police say an increasing number of cash for gold stores is a sign that trafficking in stolen jewelry is a rising problem. Police are investigating the theft of about $60,000 of gold, diamonds and other property during a burglary at the University Mall in South Burlington.  Vermont veterans are going to have a new place to meet where they can work on creating or expanding small businesses. The Green Mountain Club is working on a new route in Bolton for the Long Trail, the long-distance hiking trail. Some professionals can now do their licensing online. Secretary of State Jim Condos says paperless licensing is starting up for 45 professions regulated by the department.
