Utility officials and efficiency experts have outlined a $21 million dollar plan to help Vermonters use less energy to heat and light their homes.

Eight East Coast states – including Vermont – along with the federal government and citizens groups from Indiana have reached an agreement with one of the country’s largest electricity producers to stop burning coal at two Midwest power plans. 

This month, the Vermont Country Store announced the appointment of Chris Vickers as its new President and CEO.

Former U-S Surgeon General C-Everett Koop has died at age 96 in his home in Hanover, NH.
