Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger has proposed a new neighborhood of streets near the city’s southern waterfront. The goal is to relieve traffic elsewhere and open up development opportunities. Vermont State Police have released the name of the trooper who shot and wounded a man accused of making threats over a school bus radio in Danville. Federal officials say they’ve freed up funds to help New York communities pay for ongoing efforts to recover from last year’s back-to-back tropical storms, Irene and Lee. The president of Bennington College will retire at the end of the academic year after 25 years as head of the private, liberal arts college. The New Hampshire Food Bank is reinitiating its hunting season program called "Hunt for the Hungry."
