Governor Peter Shumlin unveiled a plan yesterday that he says will reform the state’s education system. A key part of the proposal is to expand a dual enrollment program. The Vermont House has advanced a proposal to block public employees convicted of certain crimes from collecting their full pensions. New figures show that Vermont state revenues were up in most categories last month, coming in slightly ahead of projections. A federal judge says as many as 5-thousand people might need to be questioned in order to find an unbiased jury for the upcoming trial of a man charged in the sexual assault and killing of his 12-year-old niece in 2008.
