The long-planned move of the Vermont secretary of state’s office to a location closer to the Statehouse in Montpelier is nearly complete.
The office is to be open for business today in its new spot at 128 State Street. The new location is close to the Vermont Statehouse.
For decades the secretary of state’s office has been in the Redstone building, which is on a hill at the west end of downtown Montpelier.
Secretary of State Jim Condos says he’s glad to be moving to a spot that he says will be both closer to the Legislature and more accessible to the public.
