Senators Judd Gregg and John Sununu are trying to get a $250,000 planning grant to help the community of Groveton, New Hampshire, where the Wausau paper mill will close at the end of the month.

Gregg and Sununu have sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Labor requesting the grant, which would be used for regional planning to respond to the mill closure. The mill is the largest employer in Groveton, with about 300 workers.
