A new committee of businesses, government and non-profits is getting to work to implement New Hampshire’s first climate action plan.

The plan calls for an immediately new way of living to reduce carbon emissions blamed for global warming – and for preparing the state for warming the authors say is already under way.

Its 67 recommendations are based on increasing energy efficiency, using more renewable energy and driving less. Recommendations range from making buildings more energy efficient to expanding public transportation systems and bike lanes as well as building transmission lines to bring hydroelectric and wind power from Canada.
