NCAA ski championships in Stowe

The University of Vermont has fallen to second place in the NCAA Skiing Championships in Stowe. The Catamounts’ 30-point advantage was wiped out by Denver on Thursday.

Denver snagged three of the top four finishes in the men’s 10-kilometer classical race. UVM has dropped to second with Dartmouth looming in third.

Friday’s action turns to slalom races on Mount Mansfield’s Hayride trail. The Nordic skiers return to Trapp Family Lodge on Saturday for freestyle racing on the final day of the championships.
