New Hampshire is getting $600,000 in environmental grants to help communities assess and clean up contaminated sites.
The funding goes to Berlin, Durham and the state to clean up sites. The money is part of millions of grants to communities across the nation to revitalize former industrial and commercial sites.
Berlin received a grant to clean up the Burgess School-Notre Dame High School. Durham received its grant for a road site. The state received its grant for assessment and planning for eventual cleanup of petroleum-polluted sites.
