A North Bennington company that makes cases and bags for audio visual equipment has come to the rescue of dozens of workers in St. Johnsbury who lost their jobs.
The owner of PortaBrace of North Bennington was looking for people to help produce his product when he heard that the St. Johnsbury operation of W.T. Solutions was moving out of state.
PortaBrace President Gregg Haythorn says one of the biggest challenges is finding workers.
So he got some help from the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development to help retrain the St. Johnsbury workers.
Haythorn says PortaBrace is committed to remaining in Vermont.
