Most incumbent legislators win in primary

Many incumbent legislators triumphed in yesterday’s primary.

Incumbent lawmakers across Chittenden County won the chance to seek re-election in November.

With only partial results available, most other incumbents around the state defeated candidates from their own political parties.

One exception was in southern Vermont, where Putney Representative Steve Darrow lost in a three-way Democratic primary.
