The Morristown select board is looking for candidates to fill the seat held by the chairman who resigned last week after being charged with molesting two children.

Former Select Board chairman and Morristown Elementary School teacher Shaun Bryer resigned from the board after his arrest.

He now faces 17 child sex charges.

WCAX television says that on Monday night the board unanimously voted to accept his resignation and find a new chair. Residents have until Oct. 8 to apply.

Bryer’s teaching license has been suspended and he’s on administrative leave from the Malletts Bay School.
