Officials say they’re pleased with the early results of an outreach effort aimed at getting Vermonters health coverage; Congressman Peter Welch says he supports a new effort to block additional funding for the Iraq war until President Bush sets a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops; and officials say the International Paper plant in Ticonderoga, N.Y., is considering another plan to burn tire chips as a way to reduce its fuel costs.
