The Environmental Protection Agency is saying no to California’s bid for first-in-the-nation greenhouse gas limits on cars, trucks and SUVs;  the massive budget bill that passed in the House last night did so without the support of Vermont’s congressman; and some Christmas ornaments are made in Chinese sweatshops – and now Vermont lawmakers say they want to stop the practice.
