More flu clinics announced

People who are at high risk of medical problems have another chance to get a flu shot. Three flu clinics will be held in the Upper Valley next week for people who are elderly or have chronic medical conditions, and for pregnant women.

The flu clinics will be held Monday, Nov. 29 in Springfield; Tuesday, Nov. 30 in Chester; and Wednesday, Dec 1 in Bellows Falls. (See details below.)

The clinics are sponsored by the Vermont Department of Health, the Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice of Vermont and New Hampshire. Officials say that doses are limited and only those people who are at a high medical risk will be given the flu vaccine.

  • Springfield: Monday, November 29, 9-11 am at the Springfield Senior Center, 139 Main Street, Springfield
  • Chester: Tuesday, November 30, 9-11 am at the First Baptist Church, 162 Main Street, Chester
  • Bellows Falls: Wednesday, December 1, 1-3 pm at the Bellows Falls Senior Center, 1 Hyde Street, Bellows Falls

    Flu shots will be limited to adults older than 18 who have one or more chronic medical conditions that require frequent or ongoing medical management; frail elderly with no chronic medical conditions; adults over 75; and pregnant women.
